Project Purpose and Scope

A main project objective is to replace the existing bridge in accordance with general intent of the preliminary preferred alternative (Alternative 7C) selected in the scoping phase of the project. This will also involve significant roadway, intersection and pedestrian improvements to provide modern, efficient, reliable and aesthetically pleasing infrastructure for the Lake Hopatcong/Landing area. At the same time the project will satisfy the Mitigation Conditions of the Historic Sites Council letter of resolution dated April 28, 2016, which authorized the project to proceed.
